This year’s golf team made some great accomplishments. The team made it to the Western Mass golf tournament and took home 2nd place. They also took second in their league right behind Hopkins who had one more win. The team has turned a once thought to be average team, into a perennial contender.
This year the team started one seventh grader for about half the matches. Matt Muccino started in the six spot to fill out the roster. He excelled in that spot and was not intimidated by older, more experienced opponents. Aaron Dowd says, “We played as a unit and the season went very well.” He went on to talk about the camaraderie on the golf van and out on the course.
This year the team went farther than even they expected. The team continued to be a successful dominating team that was a formidable opponent for any team. The boys really bonded in all of their perennial golf rituals and pranks. The team this year really can be considered to be the pinnacle of hard team work and determination. Their tenacity and their willingness to get the job done carried them into the tournaments and ultimately made them successful.
