Pool testing 
We are happy to report that the state will continue to pay for pool testing through the end of this academic year. This is an important tool in keeping students and staff healthy and our buildings open.


Return to learning on April 26th

Information on schedules will be shared next week. In person students will receive a copy of their schedules. Students who are currently remote will receive a copy via email. We will also be communicating bus details to you at this point. Lunches can continue to be ordered through the order form on the superintendent's newsletter.

We are looking forward to seeing everyone back in the building on Monday 26th for a 7:30am start.


In order to help teachers and custodians prepare the building for April 26th, please note the following changes to the schedules for Wednesday 14th and Friday 16th April: (Please check with your individual teachers are there may be some exceptions)


  • Weds 14th April: Crew will be live from 8:30-9, the rest of the day will be asynchronous.

  • Friday 16th April: From 11:50-2 will be asynchronous.

Substitute teachers needed!

As we head into our fully in-person model, we are in need of substitute teachers! Q3 Reports
These will be uploaded to portals at the end of the day on Monday 12th April. Thank you for your flexibility as the delay was due to reorganization due to the mandate to return to in-person learning.
Course requests
Current Freshmen, Sophomores and Juniors will receive course request forms this week. They should complete and submit them via the portal.
Sophomore Declamations
Declamations are an important part of SA traditions and we are excited to hear the winners read their speeches at Homecoming on May 22nd.
Homecoming - May 22nd
Slightly later than normal we will have a streamlined Homecoming-Baseball/ Softball event on May 22nd at Smith Academy.
10:30-11: Welcome speeches, Homecoming Prize winner, Class of '21 Prize presentation, Declamations winner
11 - 1pm Baseball
1-1:30pm Senior Send off
1:30-3pm Softball
MCAS Testing
Our provisional schedule for MCAS can be found here. Grade 11 students and families should check their email with an important update in relation to testing this spring.

Last day for Grade 12

  • Last day of school will be May 28th
  • Grades close for Grade 12 - May 28th
  • Graduation & Class day: June 4th

Upcoming dates

  • April Vacation: 19-23rd
  • April 26th - Grade 7-12 Schedule will change and the school day will run from 7:30-2pm
  • May 17th: Declamations deadline
  • May 28th - Final date for Grade 12 (To be confirmed)
  • May 22nd - Homecoming (A rain date of May 23rd - with the event shortened to 9 - 9:30am -Speeches only)
  • June 4th - Graduation and Class day event: 7-9pm
  • June 14th - Final day of the year
