What has been assimilated into Q3 planning as a result of these surveys?

Health and Safety

We continue to listen to concerns and adjust our practices accordingly - No indoor mask breaks, HTA highly collaborative with Priority Student  model in place now, increased push to families to complete the daily symptom checker. Nurse Jean and Martha continue to share updated information and guidance from DPH as this comes to the district. Two staff are members of the district JLMC, a group of HPS stakeholders who meet regularly to provide input to the Covid Coordinator.

SEL

CREW - student input - Continuation of Equity and Anti-racist themes and discussions - partnering with the Childrens’ library as well as reachig out to surrounding districts and institutions to think-partner around developing and DEI plan for the district.

Building Support Team - Additional supports for students of concern: Early warning system - attendance, SEL, academic concerns. Increased family meetings prior to the end of each Q.

No-work zone over breaks and federal holidays  and staff actively trying to find a balance between work to support students for mandated state testing and mindfulness and balance.

Check-ins and Office Hours - continue to be pushed as a space for students to have live meetings with class teachers.

Technology

Ongoing efforts to streamline communication

Family tech desk to continue to support families and students (and ongoing supports for families)

Live teaching - whenever possible according to the appropriate level of development and specific task/ skill at the time.  100% live check-ins and office hours for all students

Teaching and Learning

Future planning for filling gaps for those students for whom remote learning continues to be a challenge.

Continuing to provide core and elective class offerings (including Art, Band, Languages and Phys Ed and Health) to as many students as possible, with the understanding that these can also serve as a break from “core” academics.

Ongoing efforts to provide the best learning opportunities that we can in the current context whilst trying to balance the SEL and mindfulness of all students.Live google meets for as many classes as possible, depending on level of development and specific task/ skill at the time.

MCAS preparation/ support for Grades scheduled to take the exams.

Building Support team early warning meetings - students of concern for: attendance, SEL, academic.
